Episode 54: I Sam 3:1-10 - Devotional Reading

Bre Bondurant
8/11/22

As a loving Father, God’s speaks to His children…  sometimes, he provides correction, steering us from pitfalls we may have otherwise fallen into.  At other times, he reassures or encourages us.  But always, his voice will line up with His written word.  His voice may feel like a nudge, or a prompting in a certain direction.  It may be a set of words that stand out during a Bible reading, or a thought that sticks in our mind during a time of prayer.  Again, always it will be consistent with His proven character.  God is faithful, His love never changes and His ways are consistent.

Episode 53: Revelation 21:3-7 - Devotional Reading

Bre Bondurant
7/28/22

From the book of Genesis to the Book of Revelation, the bible tells the story of God and His Creation.  It speaks of God’s consistent character, the most evident aspect of which is His unfailing Love.  In today’s devotional reading Bre is going to lead us through a portion of Revelation chapter 21.  This chapter of the final book of the Bible speaks of God bringing completion or wholeness to all of creation.  God’s unfailing love leads to this state of “shalom” that in His goodness He has made available to all of humanity—God is the perfect embodiment of Real Love… Love that is long enough to exist eternally, wide enough to encompass all of creation, and deep enough to provide space for every one of us.

Episode 51: Psalm 16, Exodus 34:6 - Devotional Reading

Bre Bondurant
7/21/22

We live in a world where nearly every piece of content we consume is manufactured to exacting standards and expertly portrays the point of view of the content creator while re-enforcing their specific agenda. So the challenge for us becomes: how can we know what is REAL?  And, how can we live a life as a follower of Christ that authentically displays HIS love in a way that others will know the we are being real as we live and love like Him?

Our current sermon series at Crossroads is called “Real Love” and explores what God’s love looks like as well as how we can live it out in the places where we live, work and play.   To listen to mesages in this sermon series, visit media.cccgo.com.

Episode 49: Psalm 145 - Devotional Reading

Bre Bondurant
6/29/22

Throughout our current sermon series there has been a common thread of “how we can engage with people that may think or live differently than we do?”   In today’s devotional Bre leads us through the 145th Psalm, and a time of contemplation and prayer on that topic.

The 145th Psalm includes awesome reminders of how great God is, and how WE, as part of His creation, and as followers of Him, should praise him, individually and in community.  It reminds to us to speak of His goodness, to tell others about all He has done, so they too can experience his compassion, care and faithfulness.

Paul Linge
04/29/2020

In this episode, we speak with Crossroads' Counseling Pastor, Paul Linge, about the different ways we connect with God.

Over the past few weeks, as we spoke with a few of our staff members about the principle of Dependence on God, someone recommended a book called "Sacred Pathways" by Gary Thomas.  This book describes nine ways that Christians relate to God. After being led to this book, we discovered that a few years ago Paul Linge not only read, but taught from this book.  So, we went to him as the subject matter expert to share some of his learnings with us.

There was really too much information for us to cover in one episode of the podcast, so we split this topic into two episodes.  In part 1, you will learn the nine ways mankind connects with God, and hopefully recognize the pathway with which you most closely relate.  In part 2 we will speak with two members of our Worship Ministry Team, and ask them about their personal pathways & how identifying those pathways has aided them in leading our church family in worship.

In this episode, we learn about the Crossroads Response Team, a special task force formed by the leaders of Crossroads.  This team seeks meaningful ways to live and love like Jesus throughout the hardships brought about by the Coronavirus.  Their goal is to mobilize resources to aid the vulnerable populations in the Tri-State and provide assistance for the front-line professionals.

We speak with three members of this team about the opportunities they have discovered, and a special fund set up by Crossroads to aid individuals and our ministry partners that have been financially impacted by the pandemic.
