Local Outreach Trips
Saturday, October 19 - Evansville Rescue Mission (500 E. Walnut Street, Evansville), A variety of local experts will weigh in on the topic of homelessness. They will explain why the housing crisis is happening, what can be done and how you can appropriately respond to people experiencing homelessness.
The panelists are:
- Danette Romines (Ozanam Family Shelter executive director)
- Joshua Brewer (Evansville Police Department officer and homeless outreach team lead)
- Timothy Weir (Aurora, Inc. executive director)
- Chris Metz (ECHO Housing Corporation executive director)
- Tracy Gorman (Evansville Rescue Mission president/CEO)
Time: 9:00-10:00 AM (panel discussion), 10:00 AM-1:00 PM (tangible serving opportunity followed by a debrief over lunch)
Cost: $5 per person (free if only attending the discussion)
Families or small groups are encouraged to participate. Please register in advance so that we may provide enough lunch and supplies for everyone.

Preparing you for Gospel Action in the Community!
Join us for an interactive training session, on location with an organizational partner in our city, designed to equip you for community engagement.
You will begin your day at our ministry partner's location, learning from local experts who understand the issues of our city and who will equip you with the tools necessary for contextual ministry. Then, you will apply what you learn in a hands-on project. The outing will end with lunch and an important debrief discussion.
